Module: 1.4.3 Daily Schedules
This module was revised in 2016 to incorporate social-emotional learning, character building, Quality Standards for Expanded Learning in California, and specific language, examples and tips for summer and year-round learning programs as part of CalSAC's work with the Expanded Learning 360/365 project.
During this training, participants will look at schedules to determine if they are providing both sufficient structure yet flexibility to accommodate a wide range of activities and address the social-emotional, physical, and skill building needs of children and youth.
In this training participants will:
- Develop an understanding of the ways a high-quality program schedule meets the specific needs of children and youth in out-of-school time programs.,
- Practice developing effective and appropriate daily schedule for their programs

What Do We Do All Day?
Participants will view their schedule in terms of the CA Department of Education Point-of-Service Quality Standards and discuss how to set up a daily schedule, in order to build skills they can take back to their programs.
Action Plan
Participants will look at their program schedule and analyze it in light of what they have learned. They will determine next steps to put into action at their programs.
